This board connects a 3.3V microcontroller to a CAN bus. It takes the TX and RX lines from your MCU's CAN controller and drives the CANH/CANL differential pair used on industrial, robotics and automotive networks.
The transceiver is a Texas Instruments SN65HVD230, built for the ISO 11898 high-speed CAN standard. It runs from 3.3V, so it connects directly to STM32, ESP32 (TWAI) and other MCUs with a built-in CAN controller without level shifting or a 5V supply. It is a lower-power, footprint-compatible replacement for the PCA82C250, and can share a bus with 5V CAN transceivers.
To wire it up, connect 3.3V and GND, connect CAN TX and CAN RX to your controller's CAN pins, then connect your twisted pair to the CANH and CANL screw terminals. A CAN bus needs 120Ω termination at each end of the line.
