Circuit Playground is the latest evolution of educational electronics from one of Earth's most innovative brands, Adafruit. The board is designed for students and adults interested in learning code and electronics. Just import the library for your Circuit Playground into the Arduino IDE and you'll have access to code your board like any other Arduino microcontroller, except with Circuit playground the sensors and LEDs are all inbuilt!
One of our favourite parts of the Circuit Playground board is that it was created with a no soldering approach in mind, you'll just clip some alligator leads to the copper pads on board and out to your sensors and modules. Simple. Speaking of which, as a 5v board the Circuit Playground is also compatible with a vast majority of breakout boards and modules that work with your favourite microcontrollers. Who doesn't love compatibility with existing components?
All in all, Circuit Playground is just that, a playground of circuitry just begging to be coded and played with. There are hours of coding fun, backed by countless “ah ha” moments with Adafruit's Circuit Playground.
