Check out our Pi Zero W Starter Kit if you're new to Raspberry Pi. Our Essentials Kit has the basics required to make the change from a full-sized Pi to the smaller Zero W.

It is amazing that a computer has twice the memory and 42% more processing speed with less than half the footprint space than the original Model A could be purchased at more than 2/3 off Model A's the original price! Though it does not have composite video output (analogue video), sound and an ethernet it is compensated for with builtin WiFi and Bluetooth. One can connect a 40 pin header and perform all the operations like the latest 40 pin models, Come to think about it, the power in the RPiWZ is comparable to a laptop that could be purchased 10 years ago for $1000 and is 30 times more powerful than a 486 machine (of yesteryear). This feels like a huge leap forward for RPis. Most projects and media centres don't need the kind of power the RPi3. WiFi and Bluetooth and a $15 price tag makes a whole range of projects much easier. Lower power consumption helps too when running off a battery pack.

The device is solid, easy to use as expected and lots of support and documentation available. Just don't forget the HDMI port is mini and you'll need an OTG cable for a keyboard for setup. (Posted on 27/05/2017)

The product is of course excellent - but I really appreciated core-electronics quick shipping and after-sales service. If you are new to Raspberry Pi, I'd recommend getting a basic starter kit with the cables to hook up to a display and keyboard/mouse. Otherwise, this basic kit is cheap and excellent. Small but awesome.
Better to use the Raspbian lite on this.
or use the kali-linux core. :D

Order your peripherals online [Cable converters, SD cards etc.] as things are stupendously expensive in retails stores.

This thing is tiny! Haven't set it up yet (need a case to keep little fingers out). Amazing service from Core Electronics, will use them again! (Posted on 18/05/2017)

awesome budget device - but you will need adapters or custom cables for almost every part of it.

Its probably just worth getting the Pi3 without the adapters :) (Posted on 18/05/2017)

Worked as expected. Headless set up straight forward.
Video streaming seems to overload the device. More work to investigate this. (Posted on 18/05/2017)

Ecstatic to find someone with one of these in stock!!

First time I have dealt with Core Electronics, and the experience was great.

Efficient order process, good communications and really prompt shipping. Will become one of my go-to online stores.
    Thanks,

An excellent bit of kit for automation or light file server work, has a lot of potential for a portable mini computer etc. (Posted on 17/05/2017)
