This 2x20 pin header is a useful prototyping component, also compatible with many Raspberry Pi Single Board Computers.

Adding this 40 pin header to your Raspberry Pi Board gives you access to the GPIO needed for your projects. This header has 2 rows of 20 pins that are spaced just right for the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins spaces and with a little bit of soldering, you can install it on your Pi. It's compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero, and Zero W models and any other Pi board with 40 Pin GPIO, however, the Zero models come without a header installed for the most part.

  • 2x20 Pins - The perfect pitch and spacing for the Raspberry Pi boards, this is the right option if you need access to GPIO on your Pi.
  • Easy installation -  You'll need minimal skill required to solder this header to your Pi. If you need help, just get in touch - we're here to help!
  • A perfect connector - Using this connector gets you access to GPIO, sure. But the real strength in having a GPIO header lies in using a T-Cobbler or Ribbon cable to break your pins out!

How to install the Raspberry Pi headers

Insert the header into the top side of your Raspberry Pi board and solder the opposite side to the Pi. It's as easy as that. We're full time makers, with plenty of touch time with Raspberry Pi and Soldering. We've written some guides on Soldering for beginners that will show you exactly what to do and what not to do when soldering.
