  • Summary A Raspberry Pi 3B is used to collect digital counts from an electronic rain gauge (1mm of rain per reed switch closure by magnetic see-saw). The total count is displayed on an LCD screen with reset and inc/dec test buttons. “To HTML” and “To LCD” routines are also included to simp...
  • Television Media Centre
  • Introduction: I have a flat screen television that is about 7 years old that I purchased before Smart TVs were commonly available. What I wanted to achieve with My Pi project was to turn my slightly old TV into a media centre. I wanted to play music through my TV as well as play saved movies and stream internet content. It was important for me to be able to stream ABC iView and SBS On Demand as they provide a free service and ...
  • Mass SD card Image Writer
  • We've built a mass SD card writer using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, some USB hubs and SD card readers. This beast has enough ports to write 49 SD cards at once! At Core Electronics, sometimes logistics hang-ups mean that suppliers cannot meet our demand for pre-flashed SD cards. During these periods we have to pick up the slack by manually imaging blank SD cards we source ourselves. Of course, this is a super-tedious process, and ...

The case fits well, looks good and is easy to assemble. There is not a lot of room between the legs and the USB port but still enough to plug cables in comfortably. The screen sits upside down in it so you need to add a line to the boot config of the pi to rotate it. The case feels nice and solid, but not too bulky. I'm happy with it, would get it again. Easy to put together and is quite lightweight. (Posted on 25/09/2018)

So you have purchased yourself a lovely 7" touch screen display for your Pi or similar.
Sick of leaning it up against a tissue box or similar.
Well this is your answer , this very nice Pimoroni Noir case.
This display case is very nice and slim and has two slim line clear legs at the back to lean on at a very usable angle.

not to bad it is a pain that it orientates the screen up the wrong way but that is easy enough fixed. other than that its not to bad (Posted on 28/05/2018)

  6. Review by Ian verified purchaser

I found that the Pimoroni display case a well manufactured product and the Raspberry Pi 7" screen just 'slotted' in. Easy to assemble and looks nice - has rubber pads to help hold the screen in position as you use the touch screen. (Posted on 27/03/2018)

  7. Review by joseph verified purchaser

had clear instructions and was easy to build, but my screen version meant the stands where wrong way around putting the screen upside down. (Posted on 11/12/2017)

  8. Review by David verified purchaser

Be aware that if you need to plug anything large into USB ports eg DAB/TV Dongle the stands restrict size of the dongle on two of the ports.
Assembly and rotate screen instructions clear as was ordering and delivery (Posted on 11/10/2017)

  9. Review by Kit verified purchaser

While the stand is well made there is currently a small issue where when installed the screen will display upside down due to an operating system update that has flipped the display settings. This can be overcome if you know how to re-code the relevant lines of code so that upon booting the display will be the right way up. If you don't have that ability yet like I don't then maybe look for a different stand. (Posted on 14/09/2017)

  10. Review by Lindsay verified purchaser

a break on one of the layers at a thin spot was disappointing but works OK. Note: my screen seems to operate upside down so needed a lcd_rotate=2 in the config.txt file. Unfortunately the screen has a viewing angle that means it is best viewed looking slightly above which when inverted means viewing from below. Not ideal (Posted on 23/08/2017)

Simple and cheap case for R-Pi screen. Although there was a delay in supply Core kept me updated with progress. Great company to deal with. (Posted on 28/03/2016)
