M5Stack takes the guesswork out of electronics by offering a modular ecosystem of compatible smart devices. At the heart of the system is the main controller called the Core that other modules can be stacked upon, See the M5Stack Maker Favourites page to get a breakdown of all our favourite modules, accessories and units.
There is a huge range of examples and we have seen M5Stack used at home, in classrooms, and for robotics competitions. Get in touch with us if you have any questions about M5Stack.
M5Core2 is the second generation core device in the M5Stack development kit series, which further enhances the functions of the original generation of cores.
COM.LTE(4G) is a stackable multifunctional LTE communication module, built-in LTE communication module SIM7600G, supports LTE-TDD/LTE-FDD/WCDMA and GSM frequency bands, supports LTE.CAT4 (downlink speed is 150Mbps), supports voice calls SMS with SMS.
ATOM Matrix which has a size of only 24 * 24mm, is the most compact development board in the M5Stack development kit series. It provides more GPIO pins and is very suitable for handy and miniature embedded device development
It's used to convert the TTL standard to the RS485 standard. If the outside serial device is RS485 standard, you can attach this unit onto M5stack, therefore, to implement the communication with RS485 device by TTL protocol.
ATOM HUB PROTO is a DIY proto board module designed for use with the ATOM series. Users can build circuits or connect peripherals according to their own needs to satisfy the functions and requirements of specific scenarios. Considering the various possibilities of user connection, ATOM HUB PROTO provides a wealth of interfaces, including VH3.96 interface, DC-5V power interface, grove interface, and all kinds of openings are reserved on the shell to facilitate user wiring.
HUB is a unit that is used in order to expand the GROVE ports over the M5Stack device. For example, if we want sensors with different IIC addresses or output to 3 devices at the same time. (M5Stack device usually can output one device at a time to to limited amount of grove ports)
COMMU is a Muti-Communication-Interface-Converter. Integrated with 2IIC, 1TTL, 1CAN, 1RS485. Apparently COMMU has packed with most of series communications.
HEART is built using the MAX30100 chipset. MAX30100 is a complete pulse oximetry and heart-rate sensor system solution designed for the demanding requirements of wearable devices. The MAX30100 provides very small total solution size without sacrificing optical or electrical performance. Minimal external hardware components are needed for integration into a wearable device.
ANGLE is a rotary switch Unit which simply includes a 10K Ohm potentiometer inside. This unit can be used for Continuous signal rotatory control for applications such as volume, brightness, or motor speed.
DAC, is a unit with the ability to convert digital signal to analog signal (voltage waveform signal) with support for audio waveform and more. It integrates a 12-bit high resolution DAC chip named MCP4725 which has an on-board non-volatile memory (EEPROM). The unit communicates with the M5Core using the I2C protocol.
M5Stack BASIC Kit, like its namesake, is a starter kit among the M5Stack development kit series. It’s a modular, stackable, scalable, and portable device which is powered with an ESP-32 core, which makes it open source, low cost, full-function, and easy for developers to handle new product development on all stages including circuit design, PCB design, software, mold design and production
COM.GPS is a satellite positioning module in the M5Stack stacking module series. It is developed based on the NEO-M8N module and is equipped with an active antenna. The NEO-M8 can spend a small amount of time, conduct high-sensitivity acquisition, and keep the system low power consumption. NEO-M8N integrates the 72-channel u-blox M8 GNSS engine, supports multiple GNSS systems: BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS / QZSS, allowing simultaneous reception 3 Data from a GNSS system.
