This cable is designed to work with Pololu's Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders with top-entry connector and with side-entry connector. It consists of six 28 AWG color-coded wires that are terminated on one end by a female JST SH-type connector.

The other ends of the wires are unterminated and can be cut to match the length of your application. You can use Pololu's male or female crimp pins and crimp connector housings to make a connector for the unterminated end of the cable that is compatible with standard solderless breadboards, perfboards, 0.1" male headers, and 0.1" female headers.

This cable also works with Pololu's JST SH-style connector breakout board (available in top-entry and side-entry versions):

Use with Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders

When used with Pololu's encoders, the wire color scheme is as follows:

Red	motor power (connects to one motor terminal)
Black	motor power (connects to the other motor terminal)
Blue	encoder Vcc
Yellow	encoder A output
White	encoder B output
Green	encoder GND
