USB to TTL converters are essential for prototyping - they provide a direct interface with the target device. This module connects to your computer USB port and there are 4 wires which connect with your target device. NOTE: This product may come in a black or blue variant and are functionally identical. Please also note that RS232 conversion, in this case, doesn't have the true voltage doubler/inverter and as such isn't compatible with some RS232 standardized devices if you're looking for a converter that does please look here

Features:

  • Fully enclosed professional finish.
  • Built-in PL2303TA USB to Serial Controller
  • Designed to be used for USB to TTL electronic projects
  • TTL interface output, easy to connect to your MCU
  • Dual 3.3V and 5V Power output (by Changing the red wire termination)
  • Can independantly power the circuit with 5V or 3.3V
  • Compact design

Operation:

  • Red - power. This pin provides up to 500mA current. YOU MUST NOT use other power supplies if you choose to power the target device with this Adaptor.
  • Black - ground (always needed, regardless if the Adaptor is powering the target device or not)
  • White RX (3.3V, which is compatible with 5V logic)
  • Green TX (3.3V, which is compatible with 5V logic)

3.3V and 5V Selection:

Open the plastic case (twist the USB connector and then evenly pull apart the plastic case) and change the red wire termination from the pad marked 5V or 3V3.

  • Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit)
  • NOTE: For Windows 7, please use RC build 7100 or above.
  • Windows 8, 8.1, & 10

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

  • $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
  • $6+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
  • $10+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
  • Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (only after we email you to notify your order is ready)

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

  • $11+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
  • $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
