We use Qoitech's power monitoring solutions to test and calculate the run time for a Weather Station powered from AAA batteries.

Power your device directly from the DC input or battery connectors, then the Otii is ready to act as both a 0.5V - 5V DC power supply and high-resolution voltage and current monitoring system.

The Software will allow you to generate logs, graphs and stats based on the entire recording or small subsections even during the process!

You can compare how your software and hardware changes have affected your power consumption by comparing previous Otii project files to new recordings.

  • Quick installation & easy to use: Download Otii 3 Desktop app, plug the Otii Arc Pro to your device under test (DUT) and start measuring energy data in less than a minute.
  • Optimal power alternatives: Power up Otii Arc Pro based on your solution setup and power requirements via USB or an external DC adapter.
  • Versatile connection: Power source your device under test using the Otii Arc Pro, which can deliver up to 5V at high voltage/current resolution. The DUT can be connected either through its DC input or battery connectors.
  • Real-time measurements & analysis: Analyze and compare charts and measurements in real-time, covering currents, voltages, and power within the Otii 3 Desktop App – it allows scrolling, zooming, and selecting current consumption and debugging logs during measurement.
  • Continuous serial synchronization: Measurements are continuously synchronized with debug logs from the device under test via UART.
  • Responsive UI: Ensure smooth performance under heavy data measurements loads, supporting multiple streams and long recordings – optimized for high-definition displays to enhance user experience during analysis.

  • Upgradeable software: Unlock a wider range of features and specialized functionalities, including battery profiling and automation tools.

Also recommended (basic use):

  • IC Clips - these will fit into the Arc black and red outlets, which then connect to your device under test. You could use any standard banana plug style connectors though.
  • If available, use a Yellow USB port or one with a lightning symbol to increase the power supply limit from 500mA to 1500mA (sometimes, these ports can go up to 3Amps).

Also recommended (advanced use):

  • If you are powering devices beyond USB power constraints and would like to interface with the 14 port header, then read on.
  • 27W Switch Mode Power Supply - set this variable supply to 7.5 Volts and your Arc will be able to power the device under test well beyond the USB limitation.
  • SMD Clips and Through Hole Clips (Red / Black) - the 14 pin connector on the Arc has standard 2.54mm pitch, so you can use any female headers and crimps to make your leads to suit your project along with stranded wire for better flexibility.
  • USB Type A Female Breakout - this is a useful combination for USB device testing. The female connector can then be used with any Type A cable, which adapts to a Micro B or other popular USB variants. To enable Otii Arc to power 5V devices, in the projects settings menu, disable Current "Auto range". This will unlock the main voltage from 4.55V to instead be 5V back on the "Supply" tab for your project setup.

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

  • $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
  • $7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
  • $11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
  • Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

  • $12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
  • $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
