By providing a standard M.2 B-Key interface, it allows for the installation of a compatible cellular module, enabling robust and reliable connectivity in locations without Wi-Fi access. This M.2 4G adapter is engineered for applications requiring constant or remote connectivity, such as mobile robotics, smart IoT gateways, and in-vehicle devices.

Engineered exclusively for the LattePanda IOTA, this dedicated adapter ensures perfect electrical and physical compatibility. The design utilizes a combination of screw fixation and a direct 4-pin header connection, creating a secure and stable platform that eliminates any need for soldering or complex modifications. This streamlined integration allows for the rapid deployment of a complete 4G communication system in minutes, ensuring a reliable data link between the cellular module and the host board.
Support for Standard M.2 B-Key 4G Modules
Equipped with a standard M.2 B-Key slot, the DFR1249 accommodates a wide range of commercially available 4G LTE modules. This M.2 adapter is specifically compatible with modules in the 3042 form factor (30.0mm × 42.0mm) that utilize the USB 2.0 communication protocol. This standardization provides users with the flexibility to select a module that best fits their specific geographic region, network carrier, and performance requirements. An onboard Nano-SIM card slot further simplifies the hardware setup.
Notes:
The expansion board is a hardware interface adapter board only. It does not include a 4G LTE module, SIM card, or antenna. Users must separately purchase and install components that meet the specified requirements to enable 4G functionality.

Products that weigh more than 0.5 KG may cost more than what's shown (for example, test equipment, machines, >500mL liquids, etc).
We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):
- $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
- $7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
- $11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
- Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.
Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.
Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.
International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:
- $12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
- $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
