WS2812 RGB LED Strips

Each LED in our WS2812 RGB LED Strips has a built-in controller chip which allows you to daisy-chain the LEDs and control them individually - all from a single GPIO! The constant-current driver in each LED ensures that colour remains consistent, even if supply-voltage varies slightly from the optimal 5V.

APA102 RGB LED Strips

APA102 LEDs are similar to the well-known WS2812B, however, these use a different driver chip which takes hardware SPI. This greatly reduces the resources required to drive them compared to the WS2812 chips, but requires an extra wire.
