This Retro GamePad from 8BitDo resembles one of our favorite Retro Gaming controllers, PLUS some additional buttons to cover all your bases. The team over at 8BitDo have put countless hours into the finest details of their Retro Gaming Controllers to deliver an incredibly authetic experience, with the size of the controller, button feedback and even the D-Pad feels right!
The Pro version of the SN controller also offers:
- Rumble Vibration for real feedback during your favorite games
- Motion Control meaning the way you hold the controller can control your favorite characters
- Turbo Function sets any button to be a Turbo button and rapidly fire as much as possible!
Connecting + Compatibility
This controller uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to a range of devices wirelessly. Wireless compatiblity includes:
- PCs running a Windows (7 and above) OR Mac OS (10.7 and above) - The controller is recognised as either an X-input device with Windows. This means that you can map any of the keyboard buttons to the controller buttons!
- Android Devices (tablets, phones, and the rest) - The controller acts as a D-input device with Android OS.
- Nintendo Switch - Swap this controller in for a substitute or extra controller on your Switch
- Raspberry Pi 3 and Above - Simply pair the controller and use it as expected
8BitDo stay on top of updates to software with regular firmware updates too, just download them from the 8BitDo Support Page.
Battery + USB Connection
This controller can also connect using a USB-C Connection to a device, which comes included in the box. This USB connection also charges the controller's internal battery. The battery is a 480mAh Lithium Polymer battery and takes around 2 hours to fully charge. You'll get up to 18 hours playtime out of that charge too, which is plenty for us!

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):
- $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
- $6+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
- $10+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
- Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.
Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.
Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.
International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:
- $11+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
- $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
