As the name implies, this is our complete retro gaming kit which comes with everything you need to relive all your retro games from classic consoles including NES, SNES, Sega, Atari, just to name a few. At the heart is a Raspberry Pi 3 (it's like a mini computer) and some software called RetroPie which handles all of the emulation and has an easy to use interface.

To make the experience complete, we've bundled two of the new SF30 Pro 8Bitdo controllers which feature dual analog joysticks, as well as motion sensitivity. Check out this tutorial for Setting up your 8Bitdo Controllers. Very easy to do, and these are our recommended controller of choice for retro gaming consoles.

If that wasn't enough, we've also included a NESPi PLUS case by Retroflag which houses your Raspberry Pi board inside an authentic, mini NES styled case. It even breaks out the USB and Ethernet ports and provides fully functional safe power and reset operation of your Pi.

What makes our gaming kit glorious is that it can support almost every old school system under the sun. It is incredibly configurable (or just use it as is!), supports a wide range of controller types, has onboard Bluetooth and WiFi, along with easy connections to modern TVs or HDMI monitors. This kit would be the perfect gift for yourself or someone who would love to relive some gaming nostalgia.

We've done all the hard work with setting up RetroPie on the included microSD card, however, you'll need to install your game ROMs / backups which is well covered on YouTube. Bear in mind as you watch those YouTube tutorials, we've already done all the other steps!

This kit includes:

Note: The Official Power Supply is now white

The Raspberry Pi 3 has a full HDMI output which means you can easily connect this gaming kit to any modern TV or screen. Checkout our tutorials for button mapping and other setup tips!

  • Rain Gauge Data Logger
  • Summary A Raspberry Pi 3B is used to collect digital counts from an electronic rain gauge (1mm of rain per reed switch closure by magnetic see-saw). It has been running without issues for over 12 months. A UPS powers the Pi so it is immune from short power glitches. The total count is displayed on an LCD screen with reset and inc/dec test buttons. “To HTML” and “To LCD” routines are also included to simp...
  • Television Media Centre
  • Introduction: I have a flat screen television that is about 7 years old that I purchased before Smart TVs were commonly available. What I wanted to achieve with My Pi project was to turn my slightly old TV into a media centre. I wanted to play music through my TV as well as play saved movies and stream internet content. It was important for me to be able to stream ABC iView and SBS On Demand as they provide a free service and ...
  • Handheld Retropie
  • Once you go down the retro gaming rabbit hole, that's it, you're not getting out without putting together your own gaming console. It all began with my hacked PSP, which I was running emulators on. Then I wanted to run them on my big screen. Unfortunately I have the first gen PSP that was sold in Australia, which means no chance of AV out. Then I discovered the Raspberry Pi 3B+, and everything went onto the big screen in a giffy....

The battery will give just over 3 hours on a single charge and can be recharged via the handy micro USB port. System updates, ROM transfers etc all possible with the Pi Zero W' built in...

Great product and fun mini project to work on with the kids.
It also gives them an insight into how far computers and games have come, from the wondrous days of 8-bit computing.

These games are also much easier to get them OFF, as all the modern games like Minecraft simply don't have an end!!
