A rugged fisheye camera built for vehicles and harsh outdoor setups, streaming 1280 × 960 video at 30 fps.

GMSL is a high-speed serial link designed for automotive and industrial video. It carries video and control data over one coax cable, with low latency and strong noise immunity over long runs. The camera can sit on a bumper, mast or machine while your computer stays somewhere safe and dry.

Inside the sealed case, a 1MP automotive-grade sensor feeds a MAX96701 GMSL serializer. Each lens is precisely focused and glued in place before it ships, so it arrives sharp and stays locked in position.

The camera needs a GMSL deserializer to connect to a computer. Pair it with the Waveshare 2-Channel GMSL Camera HAT or 2-Channel GMSL Camera Adapter (MAX9296A). Both take up to two GMSL cameras and connect to a Raspberry Pi 5 or NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX/Nano over 22-pin CSI. The deserializer board and host computer are not included.

Features

  • Ultra-wide coverage: the fisheye lens covers wide areas from one mounting point.
  • Built for the outdoors: the sealed case is dust-tight and protected against water immersion, and it runs from -40 °C to 85 °C.
  • Ready-to-use video: the built-in, professionally calibrated ISP sends finished YUV422 8-bit video, leaving your host free for your application.
  • Focus that holds: the lens is precisely focused and glued in place, so there's nothing to adjust or work loose.
  • Compact to mount: a 23 × 23 mm face and 35.9 mm depth, including the rear connector, fits tight spaces.
  • Ready to cable up: comes with a coaxial GMSL camera cable of about 2 m.
