If you're new to Arduino®, then check out our free online course where we step you through from the basics up to some advanced coding and electronics concepts.

The Uno r3 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 chip from MicroChip. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analogue inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB Type B connection, a DC Power Jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.

It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter (you'll need one with a standard 5.5mm DC Barrel Jack connection) or battery to get started.

This is the latest revision of Uno and features stronger reset circuit and 16U2 microcontroller instead of the 8U2.

What you get:

  • 1 x Uno R3 Board
  • 1 x USB Cable for PC connection

Features:

  • This board is a generic variant, built from the open source Arduino® Uno R3 design. It is a compatible replacement for the official Arduino® Uno, however, we recommend and guarantee that only the official variant will work with all Arduino® educational resources wherever it is referenced. Buying official also supports the creators and their future innovations.
  • Microcontroller: ATmega328 (datasheet)
  • Operating Voltage: 5V
  • Input Voltage (recommended): 7-12V
  • Input Voltage (limits): 6-20V
  • Digital I/O Pins: 14 (of which 6 provide PWM output)
  • Analogue Input Pins: 6

Fast tracked shipping, Packed very well (taped the bubble wrap to the inside of the box so all items did not rattle together). These are a great little unit! If you are prototyping or just starting with Arduino, these work perfectly. Once you are comfortable with not blowing up your micro-controller, fork out the extra for the Genuine if you wish.
I was using these for a CNC mill project and one of the stepper drivers had a short in it which in turn, blew up my uno R2 (previously from core-electronics:( . No problem, just grab another one from core-electronics, hell, I even grabbed 2 just in case!

This is the genuine article. While you can buy compatible boards for a lot less and you can even make your own Arduino from scratch using a breadboard and component parts, there is something to be said for the original. The quality is amazing. Whether it is worth paying the extra is something that is harder to say. There is after all a considerable price differential. (Posted on 2/10/2018)

Great! Works just like the genuine arduino but costs a third of the price. It works really well with the arduino software and does the job perfectly! The only difference is the colour and the fact that it doesn't have "ARDUINO" written on it. (Posted on 13/09/2018)

Excellent. Indistinguishable from the original (uno). I have both versions and have done extensive work on both. I use the cheaper version for the more 'dangerous' experiments due to overloads and burnouts - which then can be discarded without feeling the pinch. But otherwise, I use both for all my other experiments. (Posted on 29/09/2017)

I'm a little disappointed. Our application is to build a time-sensitive instrument and the Ceralock resonator in the Genuine Uno is not adequate. When I saw "a 16 MHz crystal oscillator" in the Uno R3 (Arduino-Compatible blurb I grabbed a one.
However the crystal is for the USB controller, and the processor still uses a Ceralock Resonator.
So IMHO the blurb is a little misleading.
Having said all this, the device I received certainly looks well made and is compatible to the Genuine Uno, but neither are suitable for my task.

It is a full UNO for less than a pack of smokes. Maybe its time to quit smoking and buy 7 of these a week. Great product for the price. Definitely not the build quality of a official Arduino but does exactly the same thing so great as a learning tool and also when you are building toys for your kids.

Recommend this fully. (Posted on 8/10/2014)

Necessity is the mother of invention and I have the need for the basis of a data logger...........my generation made things themselves.
This clone fitted the bill exactly allowing me to experiment and to achieve the required outcome. I bought two and they worked as described directly out of the packet. The cable per item was a bonus. Thanks and I will be back. The ease of ordering, checking and mail receipt is excellent. Support Aussy entrepreneurs. Thanks again. (Posted on 20/09/2013)
