The battery connector works only with single-cell LiPO batteries - see the recommended essential products for some inspiration. Never connect Alkaline or NiMH batteries to this connector.

The PiicoDev® LiPo Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi Pico is a great way to start experimenting with Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040. Use the on-board PiicoDev connector to quickly and easily connect with the PiicoDev family of sensor modules without soldering. Each GPIO is broken out to a female-header with labels visible on the top surface. Four mounting holes make it easier to mount your Pico securely in your next project. The on-board charge LED illuminates during charging and will turn off when charging is complete. If no LiPo cell is connected the charge LED may be on or off.

  • Breaks out each Pico pin, with handy labels
  • Take your project on the go with on-board LiPo battery charging (not suitable for Alkaline or NiMH batteries)
  • PiicoDev connector, compatible with Qwiic and STEMMA QT (3.3V only)

Raspberry Pi Pico is not included - click here to buy one with pre-soldered pins (pointing down); or if you're comfortable soldering pins yourself, get one without pins

  • PiicoDev connector pinout:
    • 1 GND
    • 2 3.3V
    • 3 SDA
    • 4 SCL
  • The I2C Bus presented at the PiicoDev connector contains series 120Ohm resistances to prevent destructive signal undershoot. Refer to the schematic for more information. To operate without these series resistors, users may connect directly to the GPIO instead.

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

  • $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
  • $6+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
  • $10+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
  • Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

  • $11+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
  • $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
