How to Use

Getting started with the Muon is straightforward. The board can be powered via USB-C, external power supply, or LiPo battery. Development can begin immediately using the Particle IoT Platform, which provides a comprehensive development environment including IDE access, device management tools, and OTA update capabilities. For expanded functionality, connect additional sensors or actuators using the QWIIC connector or standard GPIO pins.

For prototype to production transition, projects can be easily migrated from the Muon to the M-SoM using the Particle Device OS hardware abstraction layer, ensuring a smooth scaling process for production deployments.

Compatibility

The Muon is compatible with the Raspberry Pi ecosystem, supporting a wide range of accessories including expansion cards, hats, and enclosures. For cellular connectivity, the board works with the Hologram Hyper eUICC Global IoT SIM Card, enabling worldwide cellular coverage. The board can be expanded with various sensors, including the SparkFun TMP36 Temperature Sensor for environmental monitoring applications.

Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

$12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
$16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
