It is specifically designed to identify and measure Surface Mount Devices (SMD), including resistors, capacitors, inductors, and diodes. By combining the measurement probes and the display unit into a single handheld tool, it eliminates the bulk of traditional benchtop equipment while maintaining essential LCR functionalities.
