This is a basic, classic Pi Zero enclosure with a black base and a clear top. The case is as minimal as it gets, coming in just two pieces of polycarbonate that snap snugly together. This case will keep your Pi Zero safe and secure while also looking super sleek. You can use all of the connectors on the edges of the Pi: mini HDMI, microSD slot, microUSB power, and microUSB port. There's also a cut out to allow a 2x20-pin header to be soldered onto the Pi Zero.

The enclosure was designed by Mike Doell – just like Adafruit's elegant, beautiful, and functional Pi Case for Raspberry Pi Model B. Made of ultra-durable, super-glossy polycarbonate, it is both good looking and tough enough to toss into your pocket, bookbag, or toolbox. It has slim openings for all your cables, an easy-to-access slot for your Micro SD card, slots for your Pi Camera, and a space for your GPIO cable to extend out from the Pi.

The Pi sits nicely in the base, latching to the corner pegs, and the lid fits snugly on top. If you want to break-out your Pi you can simply snap off the GPIO slot and add pHATs, Bonnets, GPIO cables and other accessories with ease.

This enclosure is only compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero! It works with both the Zero v1.2 and v1.3 with camera connector.

This product comes with 2 polycarbonate pieces. Raspberry Pi Zero computer is **not** included. No other cables or connectors or accessories are included!

  • Rain Gauge Data Logger
  • Summary A Raspberry Pi 3B is used to collect digital counts from an electronic rain gauge (1mm of rain per reed switch closure by magnetic see-saw). It has been running without issues for over 12 months. A UPS powers the Pi so it is immune from short power glitches. The total count is displayed on an LCD screen with reset and inc/dec test buttons. “To HTML” and “To LCD” routines are also included to simp...
  • Television Media Centre
  • Introduction: I have a flat screen television that is about 7 years old that I purchased before Smart TVs were commonly available. What I wanted to achieve with My Pi project was to turn my slightly old TV into a media centre. I wanted to play music through my TV as well as play saved movies and stream internet content. It was important for me to be able to stream ABC iView and SBS On Demand as they provide a free service and ...
  • Mass SD card Image Writer
  • We've built a mass SD card writer using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, some USB hubs and SD card readers. This beast has enough ports to write 49 SD cards at once! At Core Electronics, sometimes logistics hang-ups mean that suppliers cannot meet our demand for pre-flashed SD cards. During these periods we have to pick up the slack by manually imaging blank SD cards we source ourselves. Of course, this is a super-tedious process, and ...

Love this case the black and clear look just looks nice, clean and professional.
The beauty of this case over some others is that you can gain access to the SD card without having to pull the case apart.
It also as do other brands have the 40 ppin header GPIO cutout for connecting jumper wires or hats etc. (Posted on 23/08/2018)

  2. Review by Ben verified purchaser

This is a nice little case - just a bit fiddly to get the pi zero into, but for ~$8 its a nice little way to protect the tiny guy from knocks and scrapes, and accidentally putting it onto a metal surface while powered, which could destroy it. (Posted on 8/06/2018)

  3. Review by Matt verified purchaser

Nice, simple case. My GPIO cover is a little bowed, but that isn't a deal breaker. (Posted on 2/04/2018)

  4. Review by Geoff verified purchaser

Great little case for the Raspberry Pi 0. Be a bit careful when putting the board in, as the tolerances are quite small. If you plan to use a full 40 pin GPIO header and a ribbon cable, it will not fit onto the pin array as the slot profile is rounded and overlaps the header profile somewhat. Not a deal breaker and it can be fix with a little Dremel work. (Posted on 15/03/2018)

  5. Review by Brenton verified purchaser

Nice and compact with easy access to gpio pins (Posted on 19/02/2018)

  6. Review by Peter verified purchaser

If you buy a pi zero get a case, This adafruit case is well made. But when you clip it in your'e never getting it out. Which is ok with me. Maybe a wee youtube demo would help.

Not related to the pi or the case. But I live in New Zealand and would like to add to my cart over time and make a purchases all at once to save postage. That way I can use the Core cart as a sort of shopping list.

All in all Core have got the products I seem to need. So I'm grateful they are there. (Posted on 6/10/2017)
