The YDLIDAR GS5 is a solid-state LiDAR sensor engineered to overcome the fragility of mechanical LiDARs in demanding environments. It offers over 10,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, featuring a 0.54° angular resolution and an 85° wide-angle field of view for comprehensive environmental perception. With an effective detection range spanning 70mm to 1000mm, this compact sensor (48.5mm × 25mm × 13.5mm) is designed for AGVs, service robots, and industrial automation. The GS5 maintains reliable performance, withstanding direct sunlight and vibrations while mapping obstacles with precision down to 6mm.

Wide Application Compatibility

The GS5’s 85° FOV provides broad coverage for comprehensive obstacle mapping, while its 70mm minimum blind zone ensures accurate close-range detection. The included Point Cloud Viewer software offers real-time visualization, data logging, and debugging, simplifying system integration and testing.

Solid-State Design for Reliability

The YDLIDAR GS5 employs a solid-state construction with no moving parts, eliminating mechanical wear and ensuring a remarkable service life of 10,000 hours. Its compact dimensions (48.5×25×13.5mm) allow seamless integration into space-constrained applications, while Class I eye-safe operation ensures safe deployment in consumer and industrial environments.

High-Precision Distance Measurement

With an exceptional angular resolution of 0.54°, the GS5 can detect objects as small as 6mm in diameter. It delivers multi-stage accuracy, maintaining =3% error within 70-300mm, =5% at 300-600mm, and =8% up to 1000mm. The sensor's stable performance under varying lighting conditions (resisting up to 25klux sunlight) ensures reliable operation in diverse environments.

Flexible System Integration

The sensor communicates via a standard UART interface, ensuring compatibility with microcontrollers, PLCs, and computers. The included USB adapter enables immediate PC connection for evaluation, while sensor chaining capability allows up to 3 units to operate on a single UART line. Additionally, a Linux SDK is available for developers to build custom applications.
