The LetsTrust TPM is a specialised hardware security module based on the Infineon Optiga™ SLB 9672 chip, specifically engineered for the Raspberry Pi Single Board Computers. It functions as a dedicated cryptographic co-processor (TPM 2.0), adding a robust layer of hardware-based security to your single-board computer projects by adhering to the Trusted Platform Module 2.0 specification.

Generating high-entropy random numbers or storing sensitive private keys on a standard SD card can leave IoT devices vulnerable to software attacks and low-entropy generation issues. This module solves that by offloading cryptographic operations to a dedicated secure chip. It provides a True Hardware Random Number Generator (TRNG) for solid encryption keys and secure storage for authentication certificates, ensuring your device's identity cannot be easily cloned or compromised.

Designed and manufactured in Germany, the board features a compact 2x5 header footprint that integrates seamlessly with the Raspberry Pi GPIO. It is built to fit inside standard cases without obstructing adjacent pins, using a PCB design that allows for both header plugging, or direct soldering. With native Linux kernel support (4.14.85+), it offers a reliable, industrial-grade security solution for edge computing and IoT gateways.

Key Features

  • Industrial-Grade Security: Protects your data with the Infineon Optiga™ SLB 9672 TPM 2.0 chip, offering Common Criteria EAL4+ and FIPS 140-2 certification for high-assurance environments.
  • True Randomness: Generates high-quality cryptographic keys using a built-in True Hardware Random Number Generator (TRNG), overcoming entropy starvation often faced by devices.
  • Universal Compatibility: Fits all Raspberry Pi models with a 40-pin GPIO header (from Pi Zero to Pi 5).
  • Hardware-Based Key Storage: Securely stores encryption keys, certificates, and passwords within the hardware, protecting them from software-based extraction attacks.
  • Plug-and-Play Integration: Supported natively by the Raspberry Pi OS kernel (via device tree overlays), requiring no custom drivers for basic operation.
