The xTool 5W IR Laser Module is a dedicated expansion unit designed exclusively for the xTool P3 Laser Cutter. By adding this module to the gantry, you introduce a 1064nm infrared laser source to your existing setup, changing how the machine interacts with materials.

While the P3's native CO2 laser is exceptional for cutting organic materials like wood and acrylic, it disperses on clear plastics and reflects off bare metals, often requiring messy marking sprays to achieve good results. This IR module solves that limitation by generating a wavelength that is readily absorbed by metals and opaque plastics. This allowin you to engrave directly onto stainless steel, aluminium, brass, gold, and silver, or mark plastics like ABS with high contrast and minimal melting.

Engineered by xTool as a direct OEM upgrade, this module integrates seamlessly with the P3’s existing gantry system and the xTool Creative Space (XCS) software. It maintains the safety benefits of the P3’s enclosed chassis and fume extraction while delivering the rapid 4ns pulse width required for fine detail.

High-Contrast Plastic Engraving: Achieve superior results on opaque plastics where standard CO2 lasers might cause excessive melting or burning. The 1064nm infrared wavelength is ideal for marking dark acrylics and ABS, producing a clean, light-coloured mark perfect for remote controls, switch panels, and electronic enclosures.
Seamless OEM Integration: Designed to fit perfectly within the xTool P3 ecosystem, this module utilises the machine's existing motion system and safety enclosure. This ensures you retain the benefits of a fully enclosed Class 1 safety environment and automated air assist control without using third-party hardware.
Precision Pulse Technology: With a pulse width of just 4ns, the laser delivers high peak power with minimal thermal impact on the surrounding material. This "cold marking" effect is critical for engraving delicate objects or achieving ultra-fine photorealistic.

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

$3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
$7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
$11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

$12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
$16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
