By adding this module to the gantry, you introduce a 1064nm infrared laser source to your existing setup, changing how the machine interacts with materials.

While the P3's native CO2 laser is exceptional for cutting organic materials like wood and acrylic, it disperses on clear plastics and reflects off bare metals, often requiring messy marking sprays to achieve good results. This IR module solves that limitation by generating a wavelength that is readily absorbed by metals and opaque plastics. This allowin you to engrave directly onto stainless steel, aluminium, brass, gold, and silver, or mark plastics like ABS with high contrast and minimal melting.

Engineered by xTool as a direct OEM upgrade, this module integrates seamlessly with the P3’s existing gantry system and the xTool Creative Space (XCS) software. It maintains the safety benefits of the P3’s enclosed chassis and fume extraction while delivering the rapid 4ns pulse width required for fine detail.
