A stepper motor to satisfy all your robotics needs! This 4-wire bipolar stepper has 1.8° per step for smooth motion and a nice holding torque. The motor was specified to have a max current of 350mA so that it could be driven easily with an Adafruit motor shield for Arduino (or other motor driver) and a wall adapter or lead-acid battery.

Some nice details include a ready-to-go cable and a machined drive shaft (so you can easily attach stuff). Adafruit drove it with an Adafruit motor shield for Arduino and it hummed along nicely at 50 RPM. To connect to Adafruit's shield, put the wires in this order: Red, Yellow, skip ground, Green, Brown (or Gray)

Customer Reviews

  1. Review by Ezra - Great Motor verified purchaser

Great motor, lots of torque at 12v, and very smooth operation.
    For reference incase you're stuck:
    Coil 1a - Red
    Coil 1b - Yellow
    Coil 2a - Green
    Coil 2b - Grey (Posted on 6/09/2015)

  2. Review by Keith - excellent verified purchaser

Great motor works well with my project (Posted on 27/07/2014)

  3. Review by Adam - Excellent

For the price these steppers can't be beat. Good torque, nice smooth movement, especially when microstepping, and good sturdy construction. It's handy being able to mount the motor via either the front or back plates with standard M3 screws.
The only slightly annoying thing I found is that if you want to mount it flush on the front plate, the disc shaped protuberance around the shaft means you need to cut a 22mm hole on your mounting plate, or buy a custom mounting bracket. Aside from that it was great. (Posted on 25/01/2014)
