The Dual Mode Servo Programmer allows you to unlock the full potential of the 2000 Series Dual Mode Servo. With this programmer you can easily switch the servo between the default mode and continuous rotation mode. In the default mode the servo is able to rotate a maximum of 280 degrees and has positioning feedback. This mode is excellent for applications requiring precise and repeatable moves. In continuous rotation mode the servo will operate like a gear motor coupled to a speed controller. The input will still be a normal servo signal (PWM), but the signal will determine the speed and direction of the servo rather than the position. This mode is excellent for driving wheels, winches, cams and collection devices. This programmer also doubles as a servo tester - an excellent tool to have available when troubleshooting servo problems. Includes 4-Cell battery tray.

Tech Tips

To Set the Servo Into Servo Mode (default)

  • Connect the servo and battery to the servo programmer
  • Slide the mode switch to "S"
  • Long press the "P" key for about 5 seconds.
  • All LEDs will flash when the programming is completed - The servo is now set to Servo Mode.

To Set the Servo Into Continuous Rotation Mode

  • Connect the servo and battery to the servo programmer
  • Slide the mode switch to "C"
  • Long press the "P" key for about 5 seconds.
  • All LEDs will flash when the programming is completed - The servo is now set to Continuous Rotation Mode.

To Test the Servo

  • Connect the servo and battery to the servo programmer
  • Press the "S" key.
The servo programmer will enter Sweep Mode, and the "S" LED will flash quickly.
  • Press the "S" key (a second time)
The servo programmer will enter 3 Point Test Mode, and the "S" LED will flash slower.
    • Pressing the "L" key will...
      • send the servo to the "Left" position if the servo is programmed to be in Servo mode.
      • rotate the servo at max speed in the "Left" direction if the servo is programmed to be in Continuous Rotation mode.
    • Pressing the "P" key will...
      • send the servo to the "Middle" position if the servo is programmed to be in Servo mode.
      • stop the servo if the servo is programmed to be in Continuous Rotation mode.
    • Pressing the "R" key will...
      • send the servo to the "Right" position if the servo is programmed to be in Servo mode.
      • rotate the servo at max speed in the "Right" direction if the servo is programmed to be in Continuous Rotation mode.
  • Press the "S" key (a third time) to exit 3 Point Test Mode - all LEDs will turn off.
