This is a small, complete, and breadboard-friendly microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has the same functionality of the Arduino® Uno, but in a smaller physical package. The main difference is the lack of a DC Barrel Jack, and the substitution of the square Type-b USB connector for a Mini-B USB connector.

This board is a generic variant, built from the open source design. It is a compatible replacement for the official Arduino® Nano v3.0, however, we recommend and guarantee that only the official variant will work with all Arduino® educational resources wherever it is referenced. Buying official also supports the creators and their future innovations.

Features:

  • Microcontroller: Atmel ATmega328
  • Operating Voltage (logic level): 5 V
  • Input Voltage (recommended): 7-12 V
  • Input Voltage (limits): 6-20 V
  • Digital I/O Pins: 14 (of which 6 provide PWM output)
  • Analog Input Pins: 8
  • DC Current per I/O Pin: 40 mA
  • Flash Memory: 32 KB (ATmega328) of which 2 KB used by bootloader
  • SRAM: 2 KB (ATmega328)
  • EEPROM: 1 KB (ATmega328)
  • Clock Speed: 16 MHz
  • Dimensions: 0.73" x 1.70"

  • My ghostbusters proton pack
  • Hi all. Thought I'd share with you my modded Spirit Halloween proton pack. It's about 80% scale, which is plenty big enough for my 7-year-old son, and still looks decently sized on adults. As soon as I learned of this pack, 5-year-old me just had to get one. And I had just gotten my Arduino beginners kit a week earlier. I knew what had to be done :)...
  • Handheld UV Meter
  • UV is important to reptiles (and people) in processing vitamin D3 which is needed to absorb calcium. Without it reptiles often suffer from Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) which leads to weak bones and can be fatal. Thankfully, pet shops have the answer, UV producing globes which can stave off the dreaded MBD. These are in the form of T8 florescent tubes or compact florescent globes and go for $50+ each. And, yeah, they need to be re...

  • Coffee Grinder With Arduino
  • Using a few bits and pieces, this ordinary coffee grinder now has two presets to run the motor for a programmable length of time. The idea being that the grinder running for a set amount of time will deliver a certain amount of coffee each button press meaning the beans can be stored unground, keeping them fresher for longer. I completed this project for a friend, Ian, who lives for coffee. Ian wanted the same functionality in h...

Arrived packed very well, it had foam along the bottom pins to prevent damage or bending during transit which I thought was a nice touch. (Posted on 29/09/2018)

I used this Nano as a direct replacement for a Uno. I uploaded the same code (for an IR Temp Sensor) using the IDE/USB connection without problem. Hence for my purposes thus far, the process was seamless. (Posted on 9/10/2017)

A good little unit for dedicated projects, but if you want a platform to experiment with. I think the Uno is just a little easier (i.e. you can use jumpers). The Nano's fine, but you will need a breadboard. (Posted on 14/03/2017)

Excellent service, Core Electronics pre-empted potential difficulties by providing an email explaining some requirements for connecting this device. (Posted on 10/10/2016)

  9. Review by Michael - Great for breadboarding verified purchaser

The Nano fits into a breadboard perfectly, allowing for quick prototyping of new projects. The USB connection can be flaky when the Nano is in the breadboard, but this can be solved by disconnecting other components from the Nano's power pins. (Posted on 9/02/2014)

  10. Review by Dylan - Excellent little board

Used this board to run a small outdoors sprinkler system. Works great has been running for almost two months, no problems, without a reset. (Posted on 18/01/2014)

  11. Review by AK - Fully interchangeable with an Uno verified purchaser

The Nano is fully compatible and interchangable with the Uno. Just had to rewire it after initial testing with an Uno. Code does not need to be changed nor did the pinouts. (Posted on 20/12/2013)

  12. Review by Garry - Small Board Good for simple projects

Great little board for those time where a full size board is an overkill
Simple to use and cheap (Posted on 15/11/2013)
