Big LED strips need more current than a microcontroller can supply, and a 12V strip needs more voltage than it can tolerate. This compact carrier solves both at once, sitting between a Seeed Studio XIAO and up to 3A of 5V or 2A of 12V addressable LEDs.
Power comes in through a standard 5.5 x 2.1mm DC barrel jack or bare 12V wire, and leaves through a 4-pin 3.81mm screw terminal carrying 12V, 5V, A0 and GND - so the strip connects with a screwdriver rather than a soldering iron. Onboard regulation, a power switch and protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature and short circuits mean the install can be left running unattended.
Pair it with a XIAO ESP32-C3, ESP32-S3 or ESP32-C6 and the board becomes a smart lighting controller: flash WLED for app-driven colour, brightness and custom animations, or run ESPHome to expose the lights to Home Assistant for automation and voice control. The onboard Grove I2C connector adds any of Seeed's 400+ Grove modules, so motion, ambient light or temperature can drive the effects.

- Breaks out SPI, UART and two digital pins, plus a user button on D3 and a power switch, for expansion beyond lighting
- Compact 63 x 30 x 14.4mm footprint (with a XIAO fitted) tucks behind a diffuser or into a channel
- Official Seeed Studio accessory, designed around the XIAO form factor - guaranteed mechanical and pinout fit

Note: this board is not currently supported on the XIAO nRF54L15 series, as those boards have no Arduino support. The hardware interface is fully compatible and the software can be adapted manually.

- Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.
Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.
Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.
International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:
- $12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
- $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
