Summary

Get started with LibreELEC, and stream your media through a Pi. The included FLIRC USB allows you to pair buttons from your TV's IR remote to control the Pi!

    • The super versatile, FLIRC USB - Pair almost any TV remote to the FLIRC USB to control LibreELEC, it behaves like a keyboard so pair your remote and go!
    • Passive Cooling - Keep your Pi quiet and cool with the included Raspberry Pi heatsink
    • As close to plug and play as you can get - We've set up everything you need to get your Media Center up and running - the Card is pre-flashed with LibreElec, plug everything in, power your Media Center kit up, configure your addons and enjoy!
    • Open-source software and a Slick UI - LibreELEC was forked off of OpenELEC, and are both are derivatives of the famous Kodi media streaming application, all are amazing open-source projects
    • Uses the Official Raspberry Pi Power Supply - Don't fear, you won't experience any low power warnings with the Official Power Supply

Note: to pair the FLIRC USB to a remote you need a PC to configure the inputs. The shutdown button does not function in LibreELEC, to power your Media Center down navigate to the power settings and shutdown, then press the inline power switch to cut power(do not cut power while the Pi is running!).

    Setup

Once you've got all your parts the process is pretty straightforward. Pair your IR remote to the FLIRC USB. Insert the SD card into the Raspberry Pi, connect power, the FLIRC USB and HDMI to your display and run through the setup wizard. It's just that easy.

And if you've got it setup and want some help installing Addon software (YouTube for example), we wrote a short guide for that too!

As always, we're full-time makers and have our own Media Center setups at home, so we have plenty of touch-time and experience with the software. Get in touch with us if you need help.

    The kit includes

If you want to level up your Media Center with onboard storage and a dedicated remote check out our Pro Kit!
