Formlabs Form Studio 1 Pro Service Plan 1 Year

Twelve months of extra protection and priority support for your Form Studio 1, provided directly by Formlabs - so a mishap doesn't mean buying a new printer.

The cover focuses on the LPU (Light Processing Unit), which masks light into the shape of each layer. It's built to last 750,000 to 1.5 million layers, with an aluminium frame and coating to protect against accidental damage - and when it does need replacing, a tool stored inside the printer makes the swap easy.

• Accident Coverage. Formlabs offers unlimited repairs for accidents like LPU damage and resin spills - failures caused by an unforeseen, unintentional event during normal use. Each replacement of the LPU or the full printer due to accidental damage is subject to a per-incident deductible.
• Hardware Cover. Defects in materials or workmanship stay covered while the plan is active, with no deductible on those repairs or replacements.
• Express Replacement Service. If remote troubleshooting can't fix the problem, Formlabs ships a new or refurbished replacement of the same or better specification before you return the original. The replacement is covered for the rest of your plan or 90 days, whichever is longer.
• Priority Phone and Email Support. Get priority access to Formlabs' support. Phone support for the Form Studio 1 is only available with an active service plan (sometimes as a callback); without one, support is by email only.
• Renewable Cover. Renew each year to keep your printer covered for up to five years in total from the original purchase.

Requires a Form Studio 1 printer, available in the Basic and Flex packages. Each machine requires a separate service plan.

Good to Know

• Best added at the same time as your printer: new plans start on the date the printer ships. If you add a plan later, Formlabs may need to certify the printer's condition first, at standard rates.
• Renew within 30 days of expiry to keep your cover; late renewals may need recertification, which can incur fees.
• Each plan covers one specific printer, can't be transferred to other products or owners, and is non-refundable.
• For an Express Replacement, return the original within 30 days with a Formlabs RMA, or Formlabs may invoice the full retail price of the replacement. Remove the resin tank and cartridge before shipping, as damage from incorrect packing isn't covered.
• This plan is offered in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit them.
