Four channels of digital proportional 2.4GHz control, priced like a toy radio but built on the same AFHDS 2A protocol that is commonly used. Two gimbals, four trims and a pair of switches send high-resolution stick input to any paired AFHDS 2A receiver, with a long 500–1500m of range within line of sight.

Entry-level radios usually force a compromise: cheap ones drop out in crowded RF environments, or dont offer a clear upgrade path. This one hops across 140 frequencies between a wide range of frequency channels to hold a link in a busy workshop or field, and the four-channel default is a firmware limit rather than a hardware one — the community DIY upgrade path opens it up to ten channels on the same board. Channel reverse and a channel 1/2 mixer are built in, so elevon and V-tail setups are handled quickly on the transmitters switches.

Dual-protocol support means it talks to both AFHDS 2A and original AFHDS receivers, so it drops into an existing FlySky setup without replacing receiver electronics. Bind it to the FS-iA4B for a matched 4-channel pair, or the FS-X14S if you want S-Bus out to a flight controller or microcontroller (to a robot!). Four AA cells run it — we suggest Eneloop NiMHs so it is ready whenever you are.

Features

  • Holds a link in interference-heavy environments, thanks to AFHDS 2A frequency hopping across 140 channels
  • Grows from 4 to 10 channels via DIY firmware upgrade — the radio does not become the ceiling on your next build
  • Flies elevon and V-tail models straight out of the box with built-in channel reverse and channel 1/2 mixing
  • Slots into existing FlySky installs by supporting both AFHDS 2A and legacy AFHDS receivers
  • Warns you before a brownout with a low-voltage alarm below 4.2V, and runs a long session on four AA cells (be warned if you use chemistries other than Alkaline!)
