This 16GB MicroSD Card is preloaded with the Official Raspberry Pi OS. For beginners and first-time users, this is the easiest way to get started with Raspberry Pi Boards (this will work for all RPi models).

These were formerly known as Raspberry Pi NOOBS uSD Cards.

Card brand may differ based on availability: Panasonic / Sandisk / Kingston (all are class 10).

The uSD Card is shipped inside a full-sized SD Adaptor (removable) so that it can be used with a wide range of SD Card Readers.

To get the latest Raspberry Pi OS and other dedicated operating systems, check out our guide for using the Raspberry Pi Imager Guide.

At the time of writing, the list of alternative installable operating systems includes:

  • Raspbian Full (a full operating system with a graphical interface for applications and games)
  • Raspbian Lite (commonly used for command-line access instead of a graphical interface)
  • LibreElec (a very popular Media Center)
  • RetroPie (for Retro Gaming)
  • And lots of other options for 3D Printing, and home automation.

This list may change in the future, we always recommend this pre-flashed Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm, 32-Bit, March 2024) as it will work on every model of Pi right out of the box.

The card itself is a Class 10 type for optimal performance.
