Looking for another way to keep your project cool? These plug-and-play USB-ready 5V Fans provide instant gratification and prevent your goodies from overheating! Of course, it's also great for use with any small computer, FPGA, motor driver, or anything that needs cooling.

They come with a USB port, but you can easily cut off the connector and just power it directly with 5V. There's no PWM/feedback pin, but you could control the fan with basic PWM using a motor controller / H-Bridge / MOSFET. Just don't forget that fans are an inductive load, so you'll need a flyback diode to protect your circuitry. Adafruit recommend something like the MOSFET Driver Stemma, which can make it easy.

We also carry various sizes of this 5V USB-powered cooling fan so you can find the right size for your project. They all come with grills for the front and back of the fan, along with mounting screws and nuts.
