Based on the principle of ultrasonic detection, this liquid level sensor can accurately measure the liquid level of various toxic substances, strong acid/alkali, or pure liquid in high-temperature and high-pressure closed containers without contacting with the solution.
The maximum detection height of the sensor reaches up to 2m. It should be powered at DC3.3V-12V. The sensor adopts UART output and is compatible with all sorts of main-controller boards like Arduino, Raspberry Pi. Besides that, the module offers only 1s response time and 1mm resolution. The sensor can stably output the current liquid level in real-time, and even no need to restart when the container gradually empties, and then liquid backs up into it again. Moreover, it comes with temperature compensation that can automatically correct the measured value according to the actual working temperature to ensure that the detected height is accurate enough.
How to install an ultrasonic liquid level sensor?
The module adopts an integrated probe design, small in size, and easy to install. The sensor has no special requirements for the material of liquid or container to be detected since the ultrasonic wave can penetrate metal, ceramic, plastic, and glass, etc. It can be widely used for liquid level real-time detection of various media in fields, such as petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, pharmaceutical, water supply, and drainage, environmental protection.
Note:
1. At room temperature, the blind zone and detection limit height of the sensor vary with the material of containers, such as metal, glass, ceramics, non foaming plastic, etc.
2. The blind zone and detection limit height of the sensor also will be different for the same material container with different thickness at room temperature.3. When the liquid level to be detected exceeds the detection range of the sensor, or the liquid level fluctuates greatly, the sensor could not give stable performance.
4. You may have to apply Couplant or AB glue on the surface of the sensor in actual use. The couplant can be used for testing. If you need to fix your sensor at a position for a long time, AB glue is highly recommended (A glue and B glue should be mixed before using).
