Up to 51W High-Power PoE Supply

This 51W PoE Expansion Board complies with the advanced IEEE 802.3bt standard, providing a maximum power output of 51W. This substantial power budget ensures continuous and stable operation not only for the LattePanda IOTA itself but also for power-hungry peripheral devices such as cameras, sensors, or small actuators. This capability is critical for applications that demand consistent performance and reliability under heavy processing loads, preventing issues like system instability or unexpected reboots caused by insufficient power.


Power + Networking Over a Single Cable – Simplified Wiring

By integrating power and data transmission into one Ethernet cable, this single-cable PoE solution fundamentally streamlines the physical setup of any project. This approach reduces cable clutter, minimizes potential points of failure, and optimizes deployment space. The convenience is especially valuable in compact enclosures or remote installation environments where access to power outlets is limited or impractical. The module maintains a high-speed 1.0 Gbps network connection, ensuring that data throughput is never compromised.


Supports External Device Power Output

A dedicated 12V DC connector is integrated into the Gigabit PoE Hat, allowing it to directly power external components like sensors, cooling fans, or actuators. This feature enhances the LattePanda IOTA's role as a central controller by enabling it to manage and power its entire ecosystem of peripherals from a single source. This expands the system's integration capabilities, making it easier to build self-contained and fully functional solutions without requiring additional power supplies.


Important Notes

  • Only the Ethernet port of this Expansion board supports PoE: The built-in Ethernet port on the LattePanda IOTA board does NOT support PoE. Please ensure PoE power is supplied through this expansion board only.
  • Use IEEE 802.3bt Compatible Equipment: We recommend using PoE switches or routers that support the IEEE 802.3bt standard. Using lower-Specification devices (e.g., 802.3af/at) will result in insufficient power, causing system instability, frequent reboots, or failure to boot.
  • Inductor Heating is Normal: The silver inductor on the board (marked “100”) may become slightly warm under light loads due to SSR FPWM mode operation. This is a normal working condition and does not affect performance or product lifespan.

    We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

    • $3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
    • $7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
    • $11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
    • Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

    Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

    Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

    International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

    • $12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
    • $16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

    If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
