This product is retired, please consider our Seeeduino V4.2as your alternative choice.
If you are an old friend of Seeed, you may know that Seeeduino is one of Seeedâs most popular products. Ever since it was born in 2009, Seeeduino has been upgraded many times and the most recent one is Seeeduino V4.2, the best Seeeduino version ever. The reason why we recommend Seeeduino V4.2 is because this is an Arduino compatible board while integrated many good features that Arduino Uno doesnât have. Such as the grove connectors, the input voltage select button. And it is also a very reliable and good looking board. Please refer to the page of it for more information.
The Arduino Uno Rev 3 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
The Uno differs from all preceding Arduino boards is that the Uno does not use the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip. Instead, it features the Atmega8U2 programmed as a USB-to-serial converter. "Uno" means one in Italian and is named to mark the upcoming release of Arduino 1.0.
The Uno and version 1.0 will be the reference versions of Arduino, moving forward. The Arduino Uno board rev 3 is the latest in a series of USB Arduino boards, and the reference model for the Arduino platform.
