This is the complete GoPiGo Beginner Kit that comes with everything you need to build your own Raspberry Pi powered robotic car! This kit is the perfect introductory package to learn about Robotics, Electrical Prototyping and Programming. We've found that assembly of the kit takes around 30-40 minutes for most students and then you can dive right into the programming and development cycles of robotics.

A Versatile Raspberry Pi Robotics Platform - Hailed as one of the best kits for Educators and Raspberry Pi, the GoPiGo runs on the Pi 3 Model B+, and has expansion hardware to add on up to 5 sensors, 2 servos, a camera and a speaker.
DexterOS - The custom built OS package is kept up to date with firmware and software updates regularly and is free to download.
Guides, Projects and more - Part of the GoPiGo experience is the staggering amount of free online resources available to help you and your student use, create and interate with the platform. You can see their online learning system for more information.
Mobile and Durable - The GoPiGo is battery powered and made from a sturdy "classroom safe" acryllic and metal frame. You'll be safeguarded against bumps and falls!
Precise Motor Control - The GoPiGo is loaded with great encoders that give you the precise control you want in a robot platform.
Block Based Programming - The OS uses Bloxter (similar to Scratch) to code for beginners, perfect for primary students.
Java, Python, C and Beyond - You won't be locked into block-based programming IDEs, the GoPiGo system can use a bunch of other languages to code your bot.

Building and using the GoPiGo

It's good to know what the process will look like once you get your robot. Put simply you'll build it, then start coding. As we mentioned above, we typically see the assembly process take around 40 minutes. The assembly guide is included as well as a great, step-by-step online guide on how it all comes together.

Integrating GoPiGo into the Classroom

It's great to have these tools in the classroom, but the most important part about using modern teaching tools like GoPiGo is the ease of integrating them into a classroom environment for continued use! We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

$3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
$7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
$11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

$12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
$16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
