A micro-sized prototyping platform built to last. This 170-tie-point solderless breadboard packs quality phosphor bronze contacts into a compact footprint, giving you a reliable foundation for quick circuits, add-on modules, and space-constrained prototypes.
Cheap breadboards lose their grip after a few hundred wire insertions; however, the contacts here are custom-formed for longevity with nickel-plated phosphor bronze rated for 50,000 insertions, so your connections stay firm project after project. The white POM plastic housing resists discolouration and feels solid compared to cheap and cheerful alternatives.
At just 45.7 × 35.6 mm, it fits directly onto Arduino protoshields and into tight enclosures. Peelable adhesive backing and two included mounting screws give you flexible mounting options. It plugs seamlessly alongside larger BusBoard breadboards like the BB400 and BB830 when your project outgrows one of these.
The BB170 arranges its 170 tie points in two columns of 17 rows, separated by a standard 2.54 mm (0.1″) centre channel - wide enough to straddle DIP-package ICs. Each row connects five points internally, giving you 34 independent 5-point nets. There are no side-mounted power bus rails, keeping the footprint as compact as possible.
