The NeuroSky MindWave Mobile 2 is a headset that can measure your brain waves via Bluetooth Low Energy and let you communicate or control your computer, iOS or Android device by just thinking!

This device may not give you telepathic powers, but it is a great fun way to use EEG (Electro) to explore how brainwaves work and explore some applications of the Brain Computer Interface (BCI).

Despite being something from a Sci-Fi movie the setup for the MindWave is as simple as switching it on and pairing to your device. Once you are connected you can use one of the more than 100 apps that are available through Android, iOS and the NeuroSky stores.

The apps will let you measure your attention levels, meditation levels, detect a blink and observe your brain waves (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Theta). One application of the brain wave reading is to watch how your brain reacts to your favourite music!

The NeuroSky development tools are freely available and you can develop your own applications for iOS, Android, and Windows with their tools. Moving away from the official tools you can also pair with Android or Raspberry Pi with some unofficial tools.

Note: The MindWave Mobile 2 requires one AAA battery to operate. This battery is not included and will need to be purchased separately.

$3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
$6+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
$10+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

$11+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
$16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)
