The Icarus is a cost-effective cellular IoT board built around Nordic Semi's nRF9160 modem and combines LTE-M, NB-IoT, GPS, accelerometer, USB, LiPo charger, as well as an eSIM with free data out of the box and a nano SIM connector. Control, monitor, and keep track of any asset, fleet or cargo, quickly and easily with this pre-certified device!

You might be looking at this dev board and thinking "Hey wow you know it kinda looks like a Feather!" Well, you've won a fabulous prize because it is in fact Feather compatible! Yes, the brilliant engineers at Actinius checked out the Feather spec, and made something that is pin compatible so you can use Adafruit's massive collection of FeatherWings to add more capabilities.

Please note: This Feather does not use Arduino or CircuitPython for development. Zephyr RTOS and nRF toolsets are used instead. For that reason, this Feather is for advanced engineers who are comfortable with learning and developing using Zephyr!

This product also does not come with antennas, a uFL LTE antenna is required to connect to the cellular network!

What Icarus is good at:

GPS and Cellular data on the go. Equipped with the new nRF9160 modem from Nordic Semiconductor, the Icarus board integrates GPS and Cellular data (LTE-M / NB-IoT) all in one.
3 Months of Free LTE-M & NB-IoT Data. The Icarus includes an eSIM with 10MB of free data for 3 months, so you can start testing your prototype immediately (*only in supported countries). After your free trial ends you can choose to get a subscription on actinius.io or use your own nano SIM!
Use the Icarus anywhere, anytime. Power comes in three: the Icarus board has input for a LiPo/Li-Ion battery (with charger!), USB, and Solar Panel input so that you can use the Icarus anywhere and anytime.
Feather Form Factor Compatible. Install extra components to the extension pins, easily, of course. Don’t forget! Icarus is compatible with the Adafruit Feather ecosystem.

Products that weigh more than 0.5 KG may cost more than what's shown (for example, test equipment, machines, >500mL liquids, etc).

We deliver Australia-wide with these options (depends on the final destination - you can get a quote on the view cart page):

$3+ for Stamped Mail (typically 10+ business days, not tracked, only available on selected small items)
$7+ for Standard Post (typically 6+ business days, tracked)
$11+ for Express Post (typically 2+ business days, tracked)
Pickup - Free! Only available to customers who live in the Newcastle region (must order online and only pickup after we email to notify you the order is ready). Orders placed after 2PM may not be ready until the following business day.

Non-metro addresses in WA, NT, SA & TAS can take 2+ days in addition to the above information.

Some batteries (such as LiPo) can't be shipped by Air. During checkout, Express Post and International Methods will not be an option if you have that type of battery in your shopping cart.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:

$12+ for Pack and Track (3+ days, tracked)
$16+ for Express International (2-5 days, tracked)

If you order lots of gear, the postage amount will increase based on the weight of your order.
