The Gravity: Haptic Motor Driver is an advanced controller module engineered specifically for Linear Resonant Actuators (LRAs). Powered by the TM6605 chip, this driver translates simple I2C commands into precise, high-fidelity tactile sensations. Operating on a versatile 3.7V to 5.2V supply and supporting LRA frequencies from 140-220Hz, it is defined by three primary advantages: an extensive library of 44 built-in vibration modes, automatic resonance tracking for optimal performance, and a plug-and-play Gravity interface. This combination of features makes the module ideal for rapid integration into robotics, interactive controllers, and smart user interfaces.

Rich Haptic Library with 44 Built-in Modes
The module comes pre-loaded with 44 distinct, pre-programmed vibration patterns. This extensive library allows for the immediate implementation of complex tactile effects—ranging from subtle clicks to strong rumbles—directly via simple I2C commands. This feature significantly accelerates development and eliminates the need for manual waveform programming, allowing creators to focus on the user experience.

Automatic Resonance Tracking
A key challenge with LRA motors is their narrow and precise resonant frequency. This driver module features automatic resonance tracking, which intelligently detects and locks onto the LRA's optimal frequency. This auto-calibration ensures that the motor consistently delivers the maximum vibration strength and the crispest feedback possible, without requiring complex manual tuning or calibration procedures.
Plug-and-Play Gravity I2C Integration
Designed for maximum ease of use, the driver utilizes the standard Gravity I2C interface for seamless connection to a wide range of microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or UNIHIKER. The package includes a compatible LRA motor and a Gravity sensor cable, providing a complete, out-of-the-box solution. This setup enables developers to move from unboxing to a functional haptic prototype in minutes.
