The 4015 Three-Phase Brushless DC Motor is an integrated motion control solution, combining a high-torque outer rotor motor with a high-resolution AS5600 magnetic encoder. Operating at a rated 24V, this BLDC motor delivers 1100RPM and a robust 3500g·cm (0.35Nm) of torque. This integrated system is specifically engineered for Field-Oriented Control (FOC), a sophisticated algorithm that enables precise management of the motor's magnetic fields. This FOC-ready design results in exceptionally smooth torque delivery, high efficiency, and low-noise operation, making the motor ideal for advanced robotic joints, camera stabilization systems, and FOC-based learning platforms.

 

Integrated High-Precision Magnetic Encoder

The motor includes a factory-integrated AS5600 magnetic encoder, which provides 12-bit resolution. This translates to an angular measurement accuracy of 0.087 degrees. Such high-resolution feedback is essential for implementing closed-loop FOC, allowing for exact control over the motor's position, speed, and torque. The encoder supports multiple output interfaces, including I2C, PWM, and analog, offering flexibility for various control systems.

 

Optimized for Field-Oriented Control (FOC)

This 4015 BLDC motor is designed to leverage the benefits of FOC (also known as vector control). Unlike simpler control methods, FOC allows for the independent control of magnetic flux and torque. The direct result is superior performance: torque ripple is minimized for smooth motion, operational noise is significantly reduced, and overall efficiency is high. This makes the motor ideal for applications where smooth, quiet, and stable motion is critical.

 

High-Torque, Hollow-Shaft Construction

Featuring a neodymium iron boron outer rotor and a robust aluminum alloy housing, the unit delivers a high torque-to-size ratio. The precision CNC-machined housing also ensures excellent heat dissipation for sustained performance. A key mechanical feature is its hollow-shaft design (7.5mm aperture), which allows for wires or other mechanical parts to be passed through the center of the motor, simplifying complex designs and cable management in robotic assemblies.

 

Broad Compatibility and Open-Source Support

To accelerate development, this FOC motor is fully compatible with the popular open-source SimpleFOC library. This allows for rapid prototyping and implementation on common development boards such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. This strong software ecosystem lowers the barrier for engineers and hobbyists to implement advanced motor control in their projects.

International Orders - the following rates are for New Zealand and will vary for other countries:
