This 2208 three-phase brushless DC motor is a compact, high-performance solution that integrates a high-precision AS5600 magnetic encoder. Operating at a rated 12V, this FOC-ready motor delivers 300g.cm of torque and provides 12-bit (0.087° accuracy) positional feedback. It is engineered specifically for applications requiring advanced motor control, particularly Field-Oriented Control (FOC). This capability allows for precise management of the motor's magnetic field, resulting in exceptionally smooth torque, low operational noise, and high efficiency. This integrated design is ideal for sophisticated projects such as camera gimbals, balancing robots, and platforms for FOC algorithm development.

Integrated High-Precision Magnetic Encoder

At the core of this BLDC motor's capability is the built-in AS5600 magnetic encoder. This component provides high-resolution 12-bit positional feedback, achieving an accuracy of up to 0.087 degrees. This precise, real-time data is essential for implementing sophisticated closed-loop control systems. The encoder offers flexible connectivity through I2C, PWM, and analog outputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of microcontrollers.

Optimized for Field-Oriented Control (FOC)

This motor and encoder combination is perfectly suited for Field-Oriented Control (FOC), one of the most effective methods for controlling BLDC motors. By enabling FOC, this 2208 brushless motor can deliver smooth, ripple-free torque and operate with minimal noise and vibration. This contrasts sharply with traditional control methods, offering superior performance and efficiency for sensitive applications.

Quality Construction and Compact Design

Constructed for durability and performance, the motor features a precision CNC-machined housing, a strong NdFeB magnetic outer rotor, and a practical hollow-shaft design. The stator windings use oxygen-free copper, and the assembly process ensures excellent rotor dynamic balancing. This meticulous construction guarantees stable, reliable operation within a compact form factor that is easy to embed in various projects.

Broad Compatibility for Rapid Development

Designed for seamless integration, this 2208 BLDC motor is fully compatible with popular development platforms including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. When paired with the SimpleFOC open-source library and a suitable driver, such as the SimpleFOC Mini (DRI0058), developers can rapidly implement and experiment with advanced FOC algorithms, significantly shortening the development cycle.
