Want to know what's awesome? SNES style vintage gaming controllers that operate wirelessly over Bluetooth with any Bluetooth device. BOOM! That's what's awesome!

Introducing the SFC30 GamePad from 8Bitdo. If you loved the feel of original gaming controllers, you'll be blown away by this one. It's a completely authentic SNES style controller that has a built-in rechargeable battery (via microUSB) and is compatible with any Bluetooth device from RetroPie to Android and iOS, even your laptop or desktop computer! You can connect it to your computer to update the firmware for even more features in the future.

The SFC30 remembers the connection and, depending on the host device, will automatically connect when it's powered up, so say goodbye to messy wires and get Gaming!

So what's in the box?

  • SFC30 GamePad controller
  • microUSB cable
  • Getting started booklet
  • Awesome metal 8Bitdo keyring

The SNES receiver is not included with this controller. To use this controller with an original SNES system, you'll need the Retro Receiver For SNES.

Tech Specs:

  • Support for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows
  • Built-in rechargeable battery
  • Approx 20hrs battery life
  • Firmware updates via USB
  • Authentic feel and control
  • 5 different operating modes for different devices
  • Programmable buttons

For more info, check out the SFC30 product page at 8Bitdo.

**Note that this controller isn't an MFi certified controller so the Bluetooth mode is only supported in iCade for iOS**

  • Mass SD card Image Writer
  • We've built a mass SD card writer using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, some USB hubs and SD card readers. This beast has enough ports to write 49 SD cards at once! At Core Electronics, sometimes logistics hang-ups mean that suppliers cannot meet our demand for pre-flashed SD cards. During these periods we have to pick up the slack by manually imaging blank SD cards we source ourselves. Of course, this is a super-tedious process, and ...

Any Pi can run RetroPie, but I recommend using the Raspberry Pi Ze...

Purchased the 8Bitdo SNES to compliment my Emmulation Station build on my Raspberry Pi 3. Brilliant controller and was relatively simple to get this connected to Retropie.

The feel of the controller is just like the original SNES controller; very solid, not some cheap rip off. I have had cheaper USB versions and they are not even close to this and only lasted a few turns.

Great support also from Core Electronics on the initial setup. The write ups on their website is invaluable. Also some cool projects to review that others have completed. (Posted on 5/09/2017)

    This is amazing.
Easy to set up with my Retropie, and easy to use.

Especially useful if you are using a Pi Zero with the whole "not having regular USB Ports" and whatnot.
