    Hi everyone,
for everyone running Raspberry Pi's and other similar type
electronics project boards, mini PC's what ever you wish to call them we all pretty much know one thing,
    THEY SUCK, POWER THAT IS.
Depending on what auxilaries etc you are using with the device of choice they can tend to take a toll on the power supply.
Like any electronic device a good power supply is essential in the way it operates and how much you can do with the unit.
Most of us whom use TFT or just simple display screens will probably have at one stage or another or even now seen that dreaded LIGHTENING BOLT, on the right top corner of the screen.
This is an indication of low voltage.
W need good voltage for our little boards that are the brains of our creations to work properly.
I have a mountain of voltage supplies, power amplifiers that can be adjusted up to choke that last few mV OUT OF THE POOR OLD RED HOT PLUG PACK to keep life in our creations.
Do away with the head aches once and for all as i did and buy the real Mc COY.
Invest in the genuine Raspberry Pi POWER SUPPLY and kiss the LIGHTENING BOLT GOOD BYE once and for all.
Good power supply happy project, happy you.
    Regards
    Dave. (Posted on 20/06/2018)

It's a power supply - what needs to be said? So far this has been powering my Pi 3 B+ almost continuously for a month and I have had no problems. It is beef enough to power the Pi with several USB attachments and doesn't seem to be getting overly hot. Works as advertised! (Posted on 16/06/2018)

The official Raspberry Pi Power supply is the best option to power your new Raspberry Pi. Don't risk plugging your raspberry pi 3b+ into any random USB wallwart or cable! the 3b+ has higher current requirements than most can provide, and you'll end up with instability or worse. The only reason this power supply gets four stars instead of five is because of the 'wings' on either side of the prongs. They often overlap the power points on either side of the supply when used on power boards.

Does the job, though I do wish it were slimmer. It takes up a little more than one outlet-space on a power board, meaning it blocks proper access to the adjacent outlet. It *might* fit okay if the little "wings" on the interchangeable plug weren't there. (Posted on 20/03/2018)

Works as advertised. Quite disappointed that it does not come with any of the quick international wall socket adapters that it is designed to use. The one I ordered in Germany did so I feel somewhat ripped off on this one.

Response from Core Electronics: There are more expensive options in Australia that have the international adaptors. We chose not to distribute that as most makers wouldn't benefit from the additional cost of those bits. We also don't advertise or depict those adaptors on this page. Sorry you thought otherwise! There's a reason why you should by an official power supply from a reputable local retailer. Remember all of those hoverboards that were exploding, or the cheap phone cables that were destroying people's mobiles? This is what happens when you try to cheap out and by inferior electrical goods. For the sake of a few extra bucks you can do the right thing and protect your precious hardware by using the appropriate power supply.
