This stand alone digital video recorder can form the core of a typical surveillance system providing switching, triggering, recording & playback functions. It accepts up to 16 camera inputs which can be individually recorded to an internal hard drive (available separately) & played back (or viewed live on screen). Individual channels can be tailored to suit the installation with settings such as brightness, contrast, saturation, hue & gain, all fully adjustable. Motion detecting areas can be easily set up for all channels.
Its full pentaplex functionality allows recording, playback, backup, live viewing and review of archived footage (locally or remote) all at once. No longer is it necessary to stop recording while footage playback is happening.
Recording can be triggered via external contacts such as alarms, infra red sensors etc. or alternatively scheduled recording or full time recording is available. Live viewing & recorded footage can be played back on the monitor in full screen or in quad mode (all channels at once). You can even monitor cameras via a handy picture-in-picture mode.
Recording time is dependant on hard disk space & number of cameras. The S9355A features real time 25fps per channel ie: 200fps total for 8 channel, 400fps total for 16 channel. When fitted with 2 x 2TB hard disks this DVR could record between 25 to 75 days footage depending upon picture quality and frame rate settings.
Remote access is possible via an in-built Ethernet port. Correctly configured, this allows users to log in from remote locations & control the surveillance systems features (such as camera pan/tilt/zoom functions, footage playback etc.) & view live feed. Software is Windows Vista/7 compatible. Includes power supply.

NOTE:WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE DETAILED TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THIS PRODUCT AS INSTALLATIONS VARY GREATLY IN CONFIGURATION. WE RECOMMEND OUR DVR'S BE INSTALLED BY A SECURITY PROFESSIONAL AS INSTALLATION CAN BE A COMPLEX PROCESS REQUIRING TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE.What is IVS (Intelligent Video System)?IVS brings together several cutting edge features for todays CCTV surveillance systems. It uses algorithms developed by security professionals to detect a human presence in the camera’s view. When IVS equipped DVR and cameras are combined, the following features may be activated on the DVR:
Push Notification: Allows instant (around 5s) mobile phone notification of alarm triggering when used with S 9045.
Virtual Fence: A virtual line is placed on the screen as a trigger for intruders crossing it. Great for detecting when a boundary is breached.
Flow counting: A virtual detection line allows counting of pedestrians/patrons. An excellent feature for pubs and venues, even public transport facilities.
Optional single channel motion trigger recording: Only the channel with a motion alarm event will be recorded, saving significant hard drive space.
What is DCCS (DVR Camera Communication System)?DCCS is a new technology which allows a video signal and RS-485 control signals to be transmitted along a single coaxial cable. This is typically used where PTZ (or Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera’s are employed.
This technology significantly reduces installation time and cost by reducing the required cabling to a single run.
DCCS may be used on ALL channels of the AVTech DVR range.
