In 2016, Core Electronics emerged from the garage, an ambitious Newcastle start-up with big dreams. Finding a home in Adamstown on Garden Grove Parade, we grew into the community-first business you're familiar with, employing 20 local makers with engineering, education, and logistics backgrounds. But it's time to bring this chapter of Core Electronics to a close because we're moving!
That's right, we're moving, time to pack up the soldering iron, multimeter, and about 13,000 other products from our catalogue and haul them to our new headquarters and warehouse at 40 Aruma Place, Cardiff NSW. A space for us to stretch our limbs and continue our journey.
The big move is fast approaching, on the 6th of June. We will be closing down for the day to tackle the 'bigger than Ben-Hur' task (it's not even a public holiday!). With all our ducks in a row, there shouldn't be any further disruption to normal service. So if you planned to put an order in for your next weekend project, there's no better time than the present.
But what does this mean for you?
Don't worry, we'll still offer local pick up to the Hunter and release maker education guides, helping you with your projects.
This move from a 530 square meter property to an almost 1200sqm means that we can offer you more:
We'd like to thank all of our supporters who have helped us reach this milestone. Every order we've shipped to you, every project you've submitted, every follow on social media, every watch on YouTube, and every comment on our forums has helped to build this community of makers.
If you've got any questions about the move, we've got a forum post set up over here.
Makers love reviews as much as you do, please follow this link to review the products you have purchased.
