FAQ on Lulzbot Support and Warranty

For all technical support enquiries for anything Lulzbot related, Aleph Objects have support covered all-day long. Email [email protected] and the team over at AO will get back to you as soon as possible. Their support is renown for their approachable and responsive service. 

When you buy any Lulzbot product, you receive an entire web of support to make your experience as great as it can be. Between the manual, the guides, the tutorials, Lulzbots forums and even direct contact with someone at Aleph Objects, you can rest assured that you will be well supported with these products. 

Additional tool heads come with well-written, illustrated installation guides to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible. Printers come with comprehensive manuals as well as illustrated quick start guides. All of Lulzbot's products have associated Open Hardware Assembly Instructions available for free too, if you wanted to see how it's all done!

As official distributors for Lulzbot, we can help with any enquiries you have about choosing a 3D printer or toolhead. What warranty do I get with my Lulzbot products?

Assembled Lulzbot printers come with a 1-year warranty that starts from the date your product is shipped out to you.

Lulzbot accessories come with a 30-day warranty that starts from the date we ship them out to you.

Only the Lulzbot support team is able to deem a warranty claim valid; use our tax invoice (which was email to you) as proof of purchase.

What is covered by my warranty?

We prefer to be completely transparent as a general rule, this is an excerpt from Aleph Objects warranty pdf you can find here:

AOI refers to Aleph Objects Inc.
Customer refers to the origin owner, the person who purchased the printer.

"The sole obligation of AOI, at its option and without charge, is to repair, replace, or refund the original purchase price paid by Customer for, any Product or part, which AOI manufacturers and which AOI agrees is defective. Repair parts or replacement Products may be new, remanufactured, or refurbished, at the sole discretion of AOI. All returned parts or Products that are replaced become the property of AOI."

What is not covered by my warranty?

Similarly,

"AOI’s limited warranty provided herein does not cover:
(i) normal wear and tear
(ii) transport damage
(iii) failure to follow operation or maintenance instructions
(iv) Customer’s negligent modification, disassembly or attempted repairs of the Product
(v) abuse, misuse or negligent acts
(vi) accidental or intentional damage
Or
(vii) cosmetic shortcomings which do not influence Product function."

Definitely! We currently offer extended warranties for the Taz 6 and Mini printers. The extended warranty can only be purchased in the first 30 days of the standard 1 year warranty, which begins the date we ship your product out.

Extended warranties work by adding the extended warranty period onto the standard 1-year warranty your printer comes with.

Extended warranty options include:
Lulzbot Taz 6:

  1. 1 Year Extended Warranty for $555.00
  2. 2 Year Extended Warranty for $1,070.00
  3. 3 Year Extended Warranty for $1,270.00

Lulzbot Mini:

  1. 1 Year Extended Warranty for $220.00
  2. 2 Year Extended Warranty for $355.00
  3. 3 Year Extended Warranty for $530.00

The extended warranty is not transferable to any other printer you purchase or have purchased. It is also a non-refundable purchase.


How does the return process work with warranty claims?

In the event you make a warranty claim and it is deemed valid by Aleph Objects; the printer may need to be sent to us for replacement or repair.

We are happy to cover the shipping costs back to us, but you will be required to pay shipping costs back to you.
