Keep your Pi cool with this black, fan cooled case. It's rounded edges and stylish design make it perfect for display as a media or games center, and the built in fan & vents ensure plenty of circulation to keep your Pi stable under high loads. Includes the screws required to securely mount your Raspberry Pi Model B+ board.

Due to supplier changes, the case may come with a fan which is slightly shorter than the mounting standoffs. It will still function as normal, and the gap doesn't cause any extra noise or interference with the Pi below.

  • Television Media Centre
  • Introduction: I have a flat screen television that is about 7 years old that I purchased before Smart TVs were commonly available. What I wanted to achieve with My Pi project was to turn my slightly old TV into a media centre. I wanted to play music through my TV as well as play saved movies and stream internet content. It was important for me to be able to stream ABC iView and SBS On Demand as they provide a free service and ...
  • Rain Gauge Data Logger
  • Summary A Raspberry Pi 3B is used to collect digital counts from an electronic rain gauge (1mm of rain per reed switch closure by magnetic see-saw). It has been running without issues for over 12 months. A UPS powers the Pi so it is immune from short power glitches. The total count is displayed on an LCD screen with reset and inc/dec test buttons. “To HTML” and “To LCD” routines are also included to simp...
  • Mass SD card Image Writer
  • We've built a mass SD card writer using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, some USB hubs and SD card readers. This beast has enough ports to write 49 SD cards at once! At Core Electronics, sometimes logistics hang-ups mean that suppliers cannot meet our demand for pre-flashed SD cards. During these periods we have to pick up the slack by manually imaging blank SD cards we source ourselves. Of course, this is a super-tedious process, and ...

This item was hard to find and thus hard to make a price comparison. However it cost so little that comparisons were unnecessary and the item was rapidly dispatched and quickly received. Good service from CORE as expected. (Posted on 25/02/2019)

  2. Review by Brent verified purchaser

Great case. Fan is loud but case looks good and even without the fan it has venting. Had to Google the instructions though to find the pin mapping as they're not included. This is the best I found: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/718HC3ZesQL._SX522_.jpg (Posted on 4/07/2018)

  3. Review by Grayson verified purchaser

I bought two. My office now sounds like a tiny little jet fighter is trying to take off. It's a constant, high-pitched whine that my two parrots are now mimicking.
For sale: 2 Eclectus parrots. Both used to talk but now just make a long, high-pitched whistle that makes your hair stand on end. (Posted on 27/04/2018)

  4. Review by Graeme verified purchaser

Pro; Case fits pi very snugly and it is relatively easy to install the pi.
Con; No instructions on which pins to connect the fan to. A diagram of how to do this would be very helpful. (Posted on 14/04/2018)

  5. Review by Matthew verified purchaser

Very loud 25mm fan. Not suitable if you plan on operating this thing within a meter or so of your workstation. (Posted on 13/04/2018)

  6. Review by Charlie verified purchaser

Great case, serves the purpose of keeping things tidy. (Posted on 27/03/2018)

  7. Review by Michael verified purchaser

A nice unobtrusive case with in-built fan. The fan can be a bit loud, so be aware if you’re planning on using the pi somewhere quiet. (Posted on 5/03/2018)

  8. Review by David verified purchaser

The fan is great. But the case is an absolute nightmare to squeeze into. I had to squeeze cardboard buffer zones between some of the sides to ensure the screw holes lined up.

And the MicroSD card isn't easy to remove without potentially scraping it. (Posted on 10/01/2018)

  9. Review by John verified purchaser

Nice case, board is a tight fit and needs to be in just the right position for it to drop in. However when utilising the heat sink package, a hole has to be cut in the bottom half of the case to clear the bottom heat sink. (Posted on 22/12/2017)

  10. Review by Kevin verified purchaser

Imperfect fit...requires a LOT of twisting and coaxing to get the Pi to fit properly... posts are a few mils out of spec. The fan hangs on 4 oddly sized posts. Cools great though ! (Posted on 27/10/2017)

  11. Review by Peter verified purchaser

tight fit but motherboard fits snuggly (Posted on 25/08/2017)

  12. Review by Andrew verified purchaser

Great case! Very easy to install. (Posted on 25/04/2017)

  13. Review by David - Great case verified purchaser

Very smart looking case, the fan is quiet and efficient.
Only negative was fitting the Pi. With my case the fit was quite tight and the mount holes did not line up readily. With gentle "persuasion" mounting achieved.

CE Staff Feedback - The gentle "persuasion" is a key part of what holds the Pi in place :) (Posted on 29/03/2017)
