You could be a veteran of programming and robots or even a young child and still have a tonne of fun with the Ozobot Bit. In short, Ozobots are small robots with color sensors that allow them to read their tracks and interpret them as commands. You can make your Ozobot experience as simple or advanced as you like, with multiple levels of play supported.
Breaking down the barriers of programming entry into something almost anyone can understand, colours! Your ozobot will charge via a USB Micro-B cable and after a quick calibration (holding down a button over a black square), your ozobot will follow any color-coded commands you draw out for it! Neat!
The learning simply starts with a black marker to make your Ozobot go, then moves into colour markers (Texta's, whiteboard markers all work). An ozobot will inadvertently teach students how to problem solve, critically think and most importantly have fun while learning.
Once you've exhausted all there is to be drawn, you can access OzoBlockly - a web-based visual editor, to create blockly styled programs for your Ozobot to run on. There are 5 tiers of coding difficulty from icon-based blocks to loops, logic and equation blocks to appeal to younger minds and enthusiastic learner alike. Once your code is ready to go, hold your Ozobot up to your screen and beam the program right in via the color sensors on the Ozobot.
