## Description

Lift the machine, and you lift the ceiling on what fits under the laser - maximum workpiece height goes from 42 mm to 133.5 mm.

That clearance is the difference between engraving flat sheet stock and engraving actual objects: chunky timber offcuts, deep chopping boards, drink bottles held in the rotary attachment. Set the working height to suit the job instead of shimming material up to meet a fixed focal point.

It is also a prerequisite rather than an upgrade. [xTool's S1 Automatic Conveyor Feeder](https://core-electronics.com.au/xtool-auto-conveyor-for-s1-laser-cutter.html) and [Rotary Attachments ](https://core-electronics.com.au/xtool-ra2-pro-rotary-attachment.html)both need the S1 sitting on a riser base before they will physically fit - the conveyor rails pass through the riser's front and rear doors with the base plate set to level D.

Raising the machine does not open it up. Front and rear doors seal the raised body, so light and smoke stay inside while you work. Note that with the riser fitted the S1 no longer meets its Class 1 laser certification, making it a Class 4 machine.

### Features

- Base plate height switches between four levels by hand, pulling and pushing — no tools, no packing material up to re-focus.

- Required hardware for rotary work on the S1 - [RA2 Pro is sold separately](https://core-electronics.com.au/xtool-ra2-pro-rotary-attachment.html), and the added height increases the maximum diameter you can turn.
